Right now, the future of the Middle East—and potentially the world—rests with three of the most volatile leaders we could imagine: Benjamin Netanyahu, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and Donald Trump. Each of them is surrounded by folks eager for conflict and religious extremism, making this a truly nerve-wracking situation.

These aging leaders seem more interested in their legacies than in the well-being of nations and lives. Their actions threaten to tip the world into another crisis, as their inability to sit down and talk things out could set off a chain reaction of chaos.

This isn’t a game with any winners. The lives of countless people are in the hands of these three, and their next moves could lead to widespread suffering. We can only hope that someone, somewhere, finds a way to bring some sanity to the situation before it’s too late.
