Ward healing is very much alive and well in Hamilton in 2015. Recent debates among councillors indicate a growing tendency to side with what best benefits the voters of one’s ward than for the greater good of the city.

Well, all that being said, what can we expect but transit gridlock and a infrastructure deficit of billions of dollars when anybody can be elected to Chair and operate a multi-million dollar Corporation (City of Hamilton), without even taking a simple means test? Da!
So many of them are elected because they have “Karisma” LoL, along with Corporate donors who pay for signs and robo calls etc. and buy them a team with volunteers who help them get elected. Either way, they both have their own agendas. Corporations want to rule and profit and the volunteers might get a job or at least, a connection made and/or perhaps a Justice of the Peace Ship for working or overseeing a campaign.
NOTE: In the 2014 Municipal Election Mayoral Candidates were allowed to accumulate Donations upwards of $300,000.00.
NOTICE TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
You couldn’t get a job with the Corporation of the City of Hamilton, as a doorman, without a rigorous job application. Taxi Drivers are better tested than any politician!
And that’s what is called Politricks!
Well, now you know why I no longer wonder why the city is bleeding red ink and nothing they do makes sense.
